The Queen’s Hall is at the centre of village life and is host to a wide range of activities - from dance classes, pre-school activities, keep fit and yoga classes and dog training. It also available for private hire for birthday parties, fund raising events, Christening parties or most other social events you care to imagine.
The venue
Whether you choose to hold a buffet or full-sit down meal you are free to choose your own caterers, who will have full use of the excellent kitchen, your own florists and of course you can decorate the hall as you wish. A “blank canvas” for you to work on! Our staff will be only too pleased to show you round and give you ideas of what can be done from our portfolio of previous weddings.

Weddings
It is also the perfect place for a wedding that is unique to you, with no preconceived ideas about menus or decoration. You choose exactly what you want and can make sure it is within your budget. The large Victorian hall, which is ideally situated on Cuckfield High Street, seats 120 for a formal wedding breakfast or up to 180 for a buffet meal.
There is a pleasant garden at the rear which is a lovely setting for photographs and drinks. (Lively youngsters can spill over into the recreation ground too.) There is also a foyer with bar - ideal if the weather is inclement.
The garden can be used until 9pm, when guests are required to make their way inside where the party can continue until 11.30pm (according to our licensing rules).
The Main Hall, Council Chamber and garden are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and naming ceremonies. The Council Chamber holds up to 45 plus the Registrars and the Main Hall can hold up to 180 seated plus the Registrars.

Children's Party?
- We offer a flat rate of £82.50 - maximum 3 hours hire including kitchen facilities. Any additional time required will be charged at the standard hourly rate.
Regular User?
- Hirers making a standing commitment of 1 year will receive a 10% discount.

- Weddings & Other: £350
Hall Closing Time
- All guests are asked to leave the Queen's Hall by 11.45pm, as the Hall must be vacated by midnight. Please remember that the Hall is in a residential area, and we politely request that noise is kept to a minimum out of consideration to our neighbours.
