Meeting Agendas and Minutes

The Parish Council is a statutory consultee for all planning applications made within the parish to the Local Planning Authority (LPA, which is Mid Sussex District Council).

The Assets, Community & Environment Committee looks at policies that maintain and enhance biodiversity in the village green areas and has a legal responsibility to manage the allotment gardens. It monitors and ensures our monuments and cemetery are kept in good condition, and is overseeing the transfer into Parish Council ownership of the large piece of land at Buttinghill (at the end of Bylanes Close).

The Community Buildings Committee is responsible for the upkeep and running of the two buildings owned by the Parish Council - the Queen's Hall and the Village Hall.

The Roads & Traffic committee represents the parish in relation to all roads and traffic issues within the village, working closely with West Sussex Highways Authority to implement traffic calming measures and maintenance of  pavements.  We also manage maintenance of the council-owned street lights.

The Finance Committee consists of all the other Committee Chairs. It ensures compliance with all necessary regulations and monitors actual spend against budget for the year.

This is the meeting held to allow all community members to come along to hear from Councillors regarding their achievements over the preceding year, together with guest speakers who are connected to the village.
